Some Writing Truths about Me

I Tweeted this yesterday: "When you have small kids, trying to be productive is like having an illicit love affair. All the sneaking around and hiding is tiring."

(Ah crap, I missed a subject-verb agreement error.  Are, are tiring!)

First of all, I have never cheated on my husband or anyone, and that is dull, but not fiction.  This adage is true.  In the evening, I was just laughing because I got to watch the kids yesterday, and I didn't get to do shit.  Washing dishes and making dinner (not five star, believe me) was not easy.  However, I thoroughly enjoyed just observing them running around and fighting over a blue balloon. 

My son kept saying, "NO SIMONA!  That is the only memorable item I have from my childhood," which is a blatant lie.  I don't even know where the balloon came from, but apparently it is very significant. 

Second, writing energy can be a blessing and a curse.  When I am doing any kind of creative work, which is quite often, my brain goes into hyperdrive.  I think life energy increases in the creative person, but often, I can't sleep.

Around midnight, as I was catching up on the The Walking Dead, it occurred to me that I could have opened up the laptop and written.
